Working prototypes of three naval craft from Aksum Marine were included in the live demonstration programme during NAVDEX 2021 in Abu Dhabi on 21-25 February, some two years after the company was established in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Gulf navies are arguably paying more attention than ever to the capabilities offered by fast boats, given that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy in Iran already has more than 125 different craft of this type in service, some of them armed with torpedoes and others with anti-ship missiles.
